On April 9, Mr. Tanvir A. Bhatti, Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu paid an official visit to the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and held a productive discussion with Professor Hu Jun, President of UESTC and his team.

4月19日，坦维尔总领事正式拜访电子科技大学，与电子科大校长胡俊教授开展了卓有成效的会谈。

President Hu Jun extended a warm welcome to Mr Tanvir. He noted that there are currently 226 Pakistani students studying at UESTC, making Pakistan the largest source country of international students at the university. The university has always attached great importance to the education of Pakistani students and will continue to build a high-quality platform for exchanges and cooperation in the future to help deepen education and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

胡俊对总领事一行的到访表示热烈欢迎，他介绍道，目前巴基斯坦在电子科技大学共有226留学生，是学校国际学生中单国别?数最多的国家，学校始终高度重视巴籍留学生培养工作，未来也将持续搭建优质交流合作平台，助力两国教育与?文交流走深走实。

The Consul General spoke highly of UESTC's educational strength and achievements in international education. He sincerely thanked the university for its careful cultivation and full support for Pakistani students. He also expressed the hope to further expand practical cooperation between universities of the two countries in joint talent training, scientific research and innovation and other fields, so as to write a new chapter in the China-Pakistan friendship.
